Job summary

ABB is seeking an Application Engineering Manager for Electrification Services (ELSE) in the United States. This remote role leads the U.S. AE organization, driving customer-focused technical solutions, high-quality proposals, and a high-performing team to support growth.

You will standardize processes, improve proposal cycle times, and collaborate across ABB engineering teams. Responsibilities include leading with clear performance expectations, coaching, and developing technical capabilities

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; Electrical Engineering preferred.
12+ years of relevant work experience.
Willingness to travel 25% within the US.
7+ years in application/field engineering in power delivery or similar sectors.
Experience leading geographically dispersed technical teams preferred.
Experience with proposal development, SOW creation, job costing, and commercial ops processes.
Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a high-performing Application Engineering team.
Provide technical leadership and customer solution support across the ELSE portfolio.
Drive proposal excellence and operational effectiveness (SOWs, JCEs, ITO, cycle times).
Standardize and continuously improve engineering processes, tools, and training.
