Job summary

ABB is seeking an Application Engineering Manager for Electrification Services (ELSE) to lead the U.S. AE organization in support of Commercial Operations and Sales.

The role focuses on delivering high-quality proposals, SOWs, and cost estimates while building a high-performing, customer-focused team. The position is remote with 25% travel within the US and requires a Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of relevant experience, preferably in Electrical Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability and willingness to travel 25% within US.
• Minimum 7 years in application or field engineering in power delivery products and systems.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed technical teams preferred.
• Experience with proposal development, statement of work creation, job costing, and commercial operations processes.
• Background in field service, power systems engineering, or industrial electrical services.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Application Engineering team by setting clear performance expectations and coaching.
• Provide technical leadership and customer solution support across the ELSE portfolio.
• Drive proposal excellence and optimize ITO processes in collaboration with Commercial Operations.
• Standardize and improve engineering processes through KPI management, libraries, and training programs.
