Pearson is seeking remote scorers to evaluate teacher candidates’ responses in multiple languages. Candidates should be licensed educators or native speakers with relevant degrees and be able to work remotely with a flexible schedule.

Starting at $17.50/hour, the role emphasizes confidentiality, quality standards, and periodic scoring sessions during weekdays with training beforehand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in any field.
• Current teaching certification in the target language with teaching in schools within the last 3 years.
• Or college educator with a content-relevant degree and recent teaching/advising in field.
• Or native or fluent speaker with a college degree.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions from teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards and engage in consensus scoring.
• Discuss bias types and apply strategies to reduce bias in scoring.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements and pass a qualifying test.
