Job summary

Pearson is seeking qualified language scorers to evaluate teacher candidates’ responses remotely across multiple languages. The role offers starting pay of $17.50/hour with flexible sessions and remote work.

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher and a current teaching certification in the target language (or have recent language teaching experience) and be eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required for eligibility.
• Must hold a current teaching certification in the language applied for.
• Experience teaching in schools within the last three years preferred or educator background in higher education.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions for teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards and participate in consensus scoring discussions.
• Identify and discuss bias types and mitigate scoring bias.
• Meet quality and productivity targets, including passing a qualifying test.
