Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an experienced instructional designer to design, develop, and maintain dynamic eLearning and blended training solutions for Ryder employees.

You will collaborate with subject matter experts to create objectives, content, and evaluation strategies that align with business goals. The role emphasizes adult learning principles, uses Articulate Storyline and other tools, and requires strong presentation, facilitation, and project management skills to deliver high-quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Business, Education, Instructional Design Technology, Education Technology, or related area or minimum 8 years equivalent work experience in designing and developing e-learning, instructor-led, blended or performance support training materials and/or solutions.
• Master's degree preferred in related field.
• Five (5) years or more Education or business environment.
• Three (3) years or more Assessing, designing, developing, and implementing learning solutions, as well as designing, developing, and producing e-learning training materials/solutions.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Knowledge of at least one authoring/development tool such as Storyline is required.
• Knowledge of how to work closely with clients and subject matter experts to develop training strategies and solutions.
• Knowledge of how to analyze information and identify needs and training/non-training.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Designs learning content and testing to support major training initiatives aligned with Ryder’s goals and competencies.
• Consults with subject matter experts and business owners to develop objectives, content, and evaluation learning strategies.
• Designs and develops learning project proposals.
• Ensures instructional design solutions match objectives and outcomes, communicates ideas to gain consensus and partnership.
• Stays current on emerging trends in learning methods and incorporates best practices.
