Job summary

Signature Performance is seeking an Inpatient Medical Coder to remotely assign ICD-10-CM diagnoses and ICD-10-PCS procedures for complex inpatient discharges. You will leverage 3M 360 CAC and collaborate with the CDI team to optimize MS-DRG outcomes and reimbursement.

The role requires at least three years of inpatient coding experience, active CCS/CIC/RHIA/RHIT credentials, and strong analytical skills to review clinical documentation and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Three years inpatient coding experience, preferably in an academic medical center.
• Current CCS, CIC, RHIA, or RHIT certification.
• Strong computer and communication skills for provider and staff interactions.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM diagnoses and ICD-10-PCS procedures for complex inpatient discharges.
• Review provider notes and CDI input to ensure accurate coding.
• Utilize 3M 360 CAC for autosuggestions and annotations.
• Verify discharge disposition and DRG sequencing for reimbursement.
• Educate CDI on guidelines, Coding Clinics, and conventions.
