Job summary

Signature Performance is seeking an experienced Inpatient Medical Coder for a remote role nationwide. You will assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for complex inpatient discharges, review notes, and collaborate with CDI to ensure accurate MS-DRG reporting.

You will utilize 3M 360 CAC or similar tools, write appeal letters, and support Medicare policies. A minimum 3 years in an academic medical center with inpatient coding and CCS/CIC/RHIA/RHIT certifications are required to excel in this role.

Qualifications

• Inpatient ICD-10-CM/PCS coding experience in an academic medical center.
• Experience with CPT/POA and documentation review processes.
• Familiarity with 3M 360 CAC or similar coding software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for complex inpatient discharges.
• Review provider notes and CDI input to ensure accurate coding.
• Collaborate with CDI on discharge diagnoses and MS-DRG/APR-DRG.
• Write appeal letters and respond to payor DRG downgrades.
• Meet coding productivity and quality standards.
