Job summary

Signature Performance is seeking an experienced Inpatient Medical Coder for a remote, nationwide role. You will assign ICD-10-CM diagnoses and ICD-10-PCS procedures for complex inpatient discharges, using 3M 360 CAC and CDI collaboration to ensure accurate coding and correct DRG outcomes.

You must have at least three years of inpatient coding experience in an Academic Medical Center and hold CCS/CIC/RHIA/RHIT certification. Excellent communication and multi-project management skills are required.

Qualifications

• Three years inpatient coding experience in an Academic Medical Center.
• Current CCS, CIC, RHIA, or RHIT certification.
• Excellent computer/communication skills for provider and staff interactions.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities to meet deadlines.
• Follow client SOPs and coding guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM diagnoses and ICD-10-PCS procedures for complex inpatient discharges.
• Review provider notes and CDI input to ensure accurate coding and POA values.
• Collaborate with CDI on discharge diagnoses and DRG determinations.
• Utilize 3M 360 CAC and autosuggestion features to select codes.
• Educate CDI on regulatory guidelines and coding conventions.
