Job summary

Signature Performance is seeking an experienced Inpatient Medical Coder to remotely handle ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding for complex inpatient cases. The role requires deep knowledge of medical terminology, coding conventions, and Official Guidelines, with collaboration with the CDI team.

You will review documentation, assign POA values, and ensure proper DRG and reimbursement outcomes while meeting productivity and quality standards in a remote, nationwide capacity.

Qualifications

• Three years of inpatient coding experience in an academic medical center.
• Current CCS, CIC, RHIA or RHIT certification.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for complex inpatient discharges.
• Review provider notes and CDI input to ensure accuracy.
• Assign POA values and review MS/DRG implications for reimbursement.
• Collaborate with CDI on discharge coding and regulatory guidelines.
