The role requires passing coding assessments for IP/OP, with immediate start date. Strong focus on accuracy, DRG optimization, and ongoing education is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years IP PCS coding experience.
• CCS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Examines the complete medical record to determine principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures.
• Sequencing diagnoses and procedures to maintain high accuracy.
• Aims for optimal DRG assignments with computer system assistance.
• Maintains steady productivity and quality.
• Holds accounts for info gaps and coordinates with staff as needed.
• Keeps current on coding guidelines and shares updates with team.
• Completes assignments as directed by management.
• Pursues continuing education and professional development.
• Teams with colleagues to meet goals.
• Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.
