Immediate start and mandatory coding assessment tests are part of the process. Experience with IP/OP coding and proficiency in systems like Cerner, PowerChart, 3M, and EPIC are required to ensure accurate DRG assignments and compliant billing.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of IP PCS coding experience.
• CCS certificate is required.
• Must complete and pass IP and/or OP assessment tests.
• Start date: immediate.

Responsibilities

• Examine the complete medical record to determine principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures.
• Sequence diagnoses and procedures accurately; target high 95% coding accuracy.
• Aim for optimal DRG assignment with system assistance.
• Maintain consistent productivity and quality on all records.
• Escalate for information when needed and coordinate with staff.
• Keep current on coding guidelines and share updates with team.
• Complete assignments as directed by management and pursue continuing education.
• Collaborate with team to meet client goals.
• Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
