Pena4 Inc. is seeking an Inpatient Medical Coder (CCS certified) for a 100% remote, full-time position. The role requires at least 5 years of IP PCS coding experience and 3 years OP coding preferred, with CCS certification required.

You will work with Cerner, PowerChart, 3M and EPIC, perform accurate coding, DRG assignment, and stay current with coding guidelines. Start date is immediate; coding assessment may be required.

Formación

• At least 5 years of IP PCS coding experience required.
• At least 3 years OP coding experience preferred.
• CCS certificate is required.
• Full-time weekday schedule with day shifts.
• 100% remote work.

Responsabilidades

• Examine the complete medical record to determine principal and secondary diagnoses, procedures and complications.
• Accurately sequence diagnoses and procedures, maintain 95% accuracy.
• Strive to obtain optimal DRG assignments on each record coded with computer system assistance.
• Maintain productivity and quality at a steady level.
• Hold accounts when more information is required and contact staff or leadership as needed.
• Stay current on coding guidelines and share information with colleagues.
• Complete all assignments as directed by management.
• Pursue continuing education.
• Work as a team member to meet department and client goals.
• Perform related duties or special projects as assigned.
