Job summary

Datavant is seeking experienced inpatient coders to join our remote team. You will assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes, audit outputs, and support documentation improvement from your home workspace.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years inpatient coding experience with CCS, RHIT, or RHIA preferred, plus strong verbal and written communication. We offer a collaborative environment and comprehensive training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of inpatient coding facility experience
• CCS, RHIT, or RHIA preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes from patient records
• Sequence and abstract codes with accuracy and documentation adherence
• Oversee and audit Level 1 & 2 Coders as applicable
• Champion documentation improvement opportunities and coding issues
• Maintain 95% coding accuracy rate and 95% MS-DRG accuracy
• Maintain site-specific productivity benchmarks
• Foster professional communication with hospital staff and management
