Job summary

Datavant is seeking experienced inpatient coders for a fully remote, flexible role. The ideal candidate will have strong medical terminology knowledge and a minimum of 3 years of inpatient coding experience, with CCS, RHIT, or RHIA preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of inpatient coding experience.
• CCS, RHIT, or RHIA preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS codes from patient records.
• Sequence and abstract codes with precision.
• Audit Level 1 & 2 Coders when applicable.
• Champion documentation improvement and coding issue resolution.
• Maintain 95% coding accuracy and 95% MS-DRG accuracy.
• Maintain productivity benchmarks and professional communication.
