Job summary

Datavant, a data collaboration platform for healthcare, seeks experienced inpatient coders for a fully remote role with a flexible schedule. You will assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes, review records, and support coding quality initiatives from your home workspace.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of inpatient coding experience, strong communication, and AHIMA/AAPC credentials or equivalent. The position includes training, equipment, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of inpatient coding experience in a facility.
• CCS, RHIT or RHIA preferred; AHIMA/AAPC credentials valued.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with coding quality review feedback and audits.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes from patient records.
• Sequence and abstract codes with accuracy and documentation compliance.
• Oversee and audit Level 1 & 2 Coders where applicable.
• Support documentation improvement and resolve coding issues with stakeholders.
• Maintain 95% coding accuracy and 95% MS-DRG accuracy.
• Adhere to site productivity benchmarks.
• Communicate professionally with colleagues and hospital staff.
