Job summary

Datavant is seeking experienced inpatient coders for a fully remote role. You will assign diagnostic and procedural codes using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS, abstract records, and oversee coding quality. You will collaborate with hospital teams to ensure accurate documentation and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years inpatient coding experience, CCS/RHIT/RHIA preferred, and strong communication skills. A remote, flexible schedule supports work-life balance in healthcare data solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of inpatient coding facility experience.
• CM/PCS and ICD-10 coding experience required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assign diagnostic and procedural codes using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS.
• Abstract and sequence codes from patient records with precision.
• Oversee and audit Level 1 & 2 Coders where applicable.
• Champion documentation improvement opportunities and resolve coding issues with stakeholders.
• Maintain site-specific productivity benchmarks and coding accuracy.
