Datavant is seeking experienced inpatient coders to join our remote team and support healthcare organizations with accurate ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS coding. The role emphasizes meticulous documentation, coding accuracy, and collaboration with hospital staff.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of inpatient coding and AHIMA/AAPC credentials; the position offers a flexible schedule and a remote work environment from anywhere in the United States.

Qualifications

• 3+ years inpatient coding experience
• CCS/RHIT/RHIA preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS codes
• Sequence and abstract codes from patient records
• Oversee Level 1 & 2 Coders
• Support documentation improvement and coding issues
• Maintain 95% coding accuracy and 95% MS-DRG accuracy
• Maintain site-specific productivity benchmarks
• Communicate with colleagues, management, and hospital staff
