Advocate Health is seeking an experienced inpatient coder to join the 10407 Enterprise Revenue Cycle team in Kansas City. You will perform high-complexity inpatient coding using ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS, ensuring accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 7 years of inpatient coding experience in acute care, an Associate's Degree in Health Information Management, and Coding Certification from AAPC or AHIMA.

Competenze

• Advanced proficiency in ICD-10 coding guidelines (ICD-10-CM/PCS) and CPT/HCPCS.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
• Excellent computer and documentation skills, including EMR usage.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Mansioni

• Review complex inpatient documentation to assign accurate codes (ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS).
• Ensure code selection follows Official Coding Guidelines and regulations.
• Maintain high productivity and quality standards (DNFB support).
• Collaborate with CDI and Quality teams to align DRG and coding with standards.
• Provide guidance to department leaders and peers as a subject matter expert.
• Research coding topics and participate in payer audits as needed.
