Datavant is seeking experienced inpatient coders to join our remote team. You will assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes, abstract from records, and ensure accurate MS-DRG assignments while maintaining high productivity. You will also mentor junior coders and drive documentation improvement initiatives.

The role emphasizes precision, strong communication, and collaboration with hospital staff, with a flexible remote schedule and comprehensive training from a credentialed coding manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of recent inpatient coding facility experience.
• CCS, RHIT, or RHIA preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Assign diagnostic and procedural codes using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS.
• Abstract codes from patient records with precision and documentation adherence.
• Oversee and audit the work of Level 1 & 2 Coders where applicable.
• Champion documentation improvement opportunities and coding issues with stakeholders.
• Maintain 95% coding accuracy rate and 95% MS-DRG accuracy.
