Datavant is seeking experienced inpatient coders for a fully remote role. You will assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes, abstract records, and audit coders while maintaining high accuracy and productivity. Strong communication and AHIMA credentials are highly valued in this collaborative healthcare data platform.

The role emphasizes documentation improvement, professional collaboration with hospital staff, and a flexible schedule from a home workspace. Prior trauma-center exposure is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years inpatient coding experience.
• CCS, RHIT, or RHIA preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes.
• Sequence and abstract codes from patient records.
• Oversee and audit Level 1 & 2 Coders.
• Champion documentation improvement opportunities.
• Uphold 95% coding accuracy and 95% MS-DRG accuracy.
• Maintain site-specific productivity benchmarks.
• Communicate with hospital staff on clinical and reimbursement issues.
