Job summary

Datavant is seeking experienced inpatient coders to join our remote first team. You will assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes, sequence and abstract patient records, and ensure accuracy for MS-DRG assignments.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of inpatient coding experience, CCS/RHIT/RHIA preferred, and strong communication skills. This fully remote role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of inpatient coding experience.
• CCS, RHIT, or RHIA preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assign diagnostic and procedural codes using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS.
• Sequence and abstract codes from patient records with accuracy.
• Oversee and audit Level 1 & 2 Coders where applicable.
• Champion documentation improvement opportunities and coding issues.
• Maintain 95% coding accuracy and 95% MS-DRG accuracy.
• Communicate professionally with colleagues and hospital staff.
