Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Director of Project Development and Strategy for its High Voltage Infrastructure unit.

This remote role leads all preconstruction activities from opportunity identification through estimate finalization, proposal submission, and handoff to project execution, ensuring accurate, competitive, and constructible HV bids. The Director collaborates with Business Development, Engineering, Procurement, and Operations to convert pipeline opportunities into well-scoped

Qualifications

10+ years in preconstruction/estimating/engineering in HV transmission or substations.
3+ years in a preconstruction leadership role.
Experience leading competitive and negotiated pricing for HV/substation EPC or self-perform projects.
Strong knowledge of substation and transmission scope and major equipment costs.
Experience building and leading an estimating team.
Executive communication skills for pricing and risk to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

Lead HV preconstruction team through estimating and proposal development.
Own the preconstruction stage-gate process ensuring scope definition and risk review.
Partner with Business Development to shape win strategy and pricing.
Direct quantity take-offs, unit pricing, and labor productivity assumptions for HV scope.
Lead constructability reviews with Engineering and Operations.
