Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Director of Project Development and Strategy to lead all preconstruction activities for the High Voltage Infrastructure unit, from early opportunity identification to handoff to execution.

You will drive accurate, competitive estimates and collaborate with BD, Engineering, and Operations leadership to win complex HV projects. This fully remote role requires strong leadership, a track record of successful HV pricing, and the ability to standardize preconstruction

Qualifications

• 10+ years in preconstruction/estimating within HV transmission or substations.
• 3+ years in a preconstruction leadership role.
• Experience with hard-bid, design-build and negotiated pricing for HV projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead HV preconstruction estimates and proposal development across opportunities.
• Own the HV stage-gate process ensuring scope, take-off, risk review and estimate quality.
• Partner with Business Development to evaluate opportunities and shape win strategy and pricing.
• Direct quantity take-offs, unit pricing, and labor productivity assumptions for HV scope.
• Coordinate bid solicitation and qualification with procurement and vendors.
