Qualifications

• 10+ years in preconstruction, estimating, or engineering within HV transmission/substation or heavy electrical/industrial construction.
• 3+ years in a preconstruction leadership role.
• Experience leading pricing efforts for HV/substation EPC or self-perform projects (hard-bid, design-build).
• Strong knowledge of substation and transmission scope, major equipment, and cost drivers.
• Experience building and standardizing estimating processes across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead HV preconstruction through estimating and proposal development including pricing and change scope.
• Own the preconstruction stage-gate process ensuring consistent scope and risk review.
• Support go/no-go decisions with Business Development and shape win strategy.
• Direct quantity take-offs, unit pricing, and labor productivity assumptions for HV scope.
• Lead constructability reviews to ensure buildable, field-validated estimates.
• Manage subcontractor and major equipment bid solicitation and qualification.
• Develop and present cost estimates, risk registers, and pricing to executives.
