Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. seeks a Director of Project Development and Strategy to lead all preconstruction activities for its High Voltage Infrastructure business unit, from opportunity identification through proposal finalization and handoff to execution.

This fully remote role influences win strategies, pricing, and project scoping across transmission, substations, and switchyards. You will standardize processes, manage bid solicitation, risk reviews, and ensure constructible estimates.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in preconstruction, estimating or engineering for HV transmission/substation projects.
• 3+ years in a preconstruction leadership role.
• Experience leading competitive and negotiated pricing for HV/substation EPC or self-perform projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead HV preconstruction through estimating and proposal development.
• Own the preconstruction stage-gate process for HV portfolio.
• Coordinate with Business Development, Engineering, and Operations on go/no-go decisions and pricing strategy.
• Direct quantity take-offs, unit pricing, and labor productivity assumptions for HV scope.
