The role leads preconstruction activities from opportunity identification to estimate finalization and handoff to execution, ensuring competitive, buildable bids and integrated budgets. This fully remote position collaborates with BD, Engineering, Procurement, and Operations to win opportunities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in preconstruction, estimating, or engineering roles within HV transmission/substation construction.
• 3+ years in a preconstruction leadership role.
• Experience leading pricing for HV/substation EPC or self-perform projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead HV preconstruction team through estimating and proposal development.
• Own the preconstruction stage-gate process for HV portfolio.
• Partner with Business Development to shape win strategy and pricing.
• Direct quantity take-offs, unit pricing, and labor productivity for HV scope.
• Lead constructability reviews with Engineering and Operations.
• Manage subcontractor and major equipment vendor bid solicitation and qualification.
• Develop and present cost estimates, risk registers, and pricing recommendations.
• Ensure clean handoffs from preconstruction to project execution teams.
