SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Director of Project Development and Strategy to lead preconstruction for its High Voltage Infrastructure unit.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in preconstruction, estimating, or engineering within high voltage transmission, substation, or heavy electrical/industrial construction.
• 3+ years in a preconstruction leadership role.
• Experience leading competitive and negotiated pricing for HV/substation EPC or self-perform projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead HV preconstruction team through estimating and proposal development.
• Own preconstruction stage-gate process across HV portfolio.
• Collaborate with Business Development to evaluate opportunities and shape win strategy.
• Direct quantity take-offs, unit pricing, and labor productivity for HV scope.
• Lead constructability reviews with Engineering and Operations.
• Manage subcontractor and major equipment bid solicitation and qualification.
• Present cost estimates and pricing recommendations to executive leadership.
• Ensure clean handoff from preconstruction to project execution.
• Track win rates and est-to-actual performance; refine estimates.
• Standardize estimating tools and templates across HV.
• Develop preconstruction bench strength through hiring and mentoring.
• Support LNTP coordination with Operations and Supply Chain.
