Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a High Voltage Preconstruction Project Manager to lead preconstruction activities for substations, transmission lines, and BESS projects. This fully remote role oversees planning, budgeting, scheduling, constructability reviews, and procurement strategy from concept through handoff.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in electrical construction and HV projects, experience with substations and utility-scale renewables, and expertise in estimating and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or related field preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in electrical construction, high-voltage projects, estimating, or project management.
• Experience with substations, transmission lines, utility-scale solar, wind, BESS, or industrial electrical projects.
• Experience managing projects exceeding $10M preferred.
• Electrical codes and industry standards
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction efforts for high-voltage projects from concept to handoff.
• Develop project execution strategies aligning client objectives and company goals.
• Coordinate preconstruction deliverables from inception through turnover.
• Review estimates, schedules, and procurement strategies with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, procurement, and finance to align plans.
• Identify long-lead equipment requirements such as transformers and switchgear.
• Manage client relationships and participate in pursuit and proposals.
