Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a High Voltage Preconstruction Project Manager to lead all preconstruction activities for HV electrical infrastructure projects, including substations, transmission lines, renewable interconnections, and BESS.

This fully remote role will coordinate planning, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, risk assessment, and client engagement from concept through construction handoff. You will develop execution strategies, manage cost and schedule, review drawings, and lead

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CM/Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in electrical construction/high-voltage projects/estimating/project management.
• 3+ years leading preconstruction activities.
• Experience with substations, transmission lines, utility-scale solar, wind, BESS, or industrial electrical projects.
• Experience managing projects exceeding $10M preferred.
• Familiarity with high-voltage substations, transmission networks, utility interconnects.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specs, and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction efforts for HV projects (12kV–500kV+).
• Oversee planning, budgeting, scheduling, constructability reviews.
• Develop project execution strategies aligned with client goals.
• Coordinate preconstruction deliverables from inception to turnover.
• Prepare conceptual, budgetary, and detailed cost estimates.
• Analyze designs, bid documents, labor, equipment, and materials.
• Manage client and stakeholder communications and proposals.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
• Collaborate on detailed schedules with engineering, operations, and procurement.
• Support procurement strategy and evaluate vendor/subcontractor proposals.
