Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a High Voltage Preconstruction Project Manager to lead all preconstruction activities for HV electrical infrastructure projects, including substations, transmission lines, and BESS. The role manages planning, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, constructability reviews, and procurement strategy, from concept through handoff.

This position is fully remote; location details will be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or related field preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in electrical construction, high-voltage projects, estimating, or project management.
• 3+ years of experience leading preconstruction activities preferred.
• Experience with substations, transmission lines, utility-scale solar, wind, BESS, or industrial electrical projects.
• Experience managing projects exceeding $10M preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction for HV projects from 12kV to 500kV+ inclusive.
• Oversee planning, budgeting, scheduling, and constructability reviews.
• Develop project execution strategies aligned with client objectives.
• Coordinate preconstruction deliverables from inception to turnover.
• Prepare conceptual and detailed cost estimates; review specs and bid docs.
• Develop quantity takeoffs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Serve as main preconstruction contact for clients and utilities.
• Collaborate with teams to align estimates, schedules and execution plans.
