Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a High Voltage Preconstruction Project Manager to lead preconstruction for substations, transmission lines, solar, BESS, and industrial power distribution projects. Fully remote role with travel as needed.

You will oversee estimating, budgeting, scheduling, constructability reviews, procurement strategy, risk assessment, and client coordination from concept through construction handoff, ensuring safe, on-time project delivery.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in electrical construction, high-voltage projects, estimating, or project management.
• Experience with substations, transmission lines, utility-scale solar, wind, BESS, or industrial electrical projects.
• Experience managing projects exceeding $10M preferred.
• Electrical codes and industry standards knowledge.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction activities for high-voltage projects ranging from 12kV through 500kV+ systems.
• Oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and constructability reviews.
• Develop project execution strategies that align with client objectives and company goals.
• Coordinate preconstruction deliverables from project inception through construction turnover.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and procurement to align estimates, schedules, and execution plans.
• Travel to project sites, client meetings, and utility facilities as required.
