Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a High Voltage Preconstruction Project Manager to lead all preconstruction activities for HV electrical projects, including substations, transmission lines, renewables interconnections, and BESS, in a fully remote role.

You will own project planning, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, constructability reviews, risk assessment, and client coordination from concept through construction handoff, coordinating with engineering, procurement, and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CM, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, PM or related field.
• Equivalent industry experience may be considered.
• 7+ years in electrical construction, HV projects, estimating or PM.
• 3+ years leading preconstruction activities preferred.
• Experience with substations, transmission lines, utility-scale solar, wind, or BESS.
• Experience managing projects >$10M preferred.
• Familiarity with HV substations, transmission/distribution, interconnection requirements, and EPC/design-build.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction for HV projects 12kV–500kV+ and develop execution strategies.
• Oversee planning, budgeting, scheduling, and constructability reviews.
• Coordinate preconstruction deliverables from inception to turnover.
• Prepare conceptual, budgetary, and detailed cost estimates and analyze designs.
• Review labor, equipment, material pricing; maintain estimating databases.
• Serve as primary preconstruction contact for clients, utilities, and stakeholders.
• Lead risk assessment, constructability reviews, and value engineering.
• Develop detailed project schedules with cross-functional teams.
• Support procurement strategy and evaluate vendor/subcontractor proposals.
• Ensure alignment of estimates, schedules, and execution plans.
