Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a High Voltage Preconstruction Project Manager to lead all preconstruction activities for high-voltage electrical infrastructure projects, including substations and transmission lines. The role oversees planning, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, constructability reviews, procurement strategy, risk assessment, and client coordination from concept through handoff.

This role is fully remote in the United States.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or related field preferred.
~ 7+ years of experience in electrical construction, high-voltage projects, estimating, or project management.
~ Experience with substations, transmission lines, utility-scale solar, wind, BESS, or industrial electrical projects.
~ Experience managing projects exceeding $10M preferred.
~ Electrical codes and industry standards
~ Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

Responsibilities

Lead preconstruction efforts for high-voltage projects ranging from 12kV through 500kV+ systems.
Oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and constructability reviews.
Develop project execution strategies aligned with client objectives and company goals.
Coordinate preconstruction deliverables from inception through turnover.
Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor proposals; ensure alignment with estimates, schedules, and execution plans.
