Job summary

George Washington University is seeking an entry‑level HR Associate in the Human Resource Management & Development suite. The role supports employee lifecycle and recruitment actions under senior guidance, partnering with HR Managers and Directors to ensure timely, accurate workflow.

Responsibilities include cross-team collaboration, documentation reviews, and providing coverage across portfolios. Strong confidentiality, communication, and multi-tasking skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area plus 1 year of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in a relevant area. Degree must be conferred by start date.
• Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and track employee lifecycle and recruitment actions within a defined portfolio, under direct guidance from senior team members.
• Partner with HR Managers and Directors to obtain information and context to execute actions.
• Collaborate with HRMD to support portfolio HR requirements/needs.
• Provide coverage for team members across portfolios as needed.
• Share information with manager and HRMD teams to inform enhancements and adjustments based on feedback and metrics.
