Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Manager of Transmission Line Engineer to lead a team on high voltage electric transmission line design projects (34.5 kV–765 kV). This role involves standards like NESC, ASCE, NEC, and collaboration with planning, environmental, permitting, and construction teams.

The position is 100% remote with preference for Texas-based candidates; some travel may be required. You will mentor staff, manage direct reports, and develop client relationships while leveraging AI and digital

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with 12+ years in design of high voltage transmission systems.
• Professional Engineering Registration in at least one US state or equivalent.
• Experience with PLS-CADD, POLE, TOWER, SAG10, LPILE/FAD and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of high voltage transmission lines (overhead and underground).
• Prepare bidding documents, plans, specs and procurement/construction documents.
• Manage client relations, scope creation and project management.
