Leidos Inc. is seeking a Manager of Transmission Line Engineer to lead a collaborative team in designing high voltage overhead and underground transmission lines, applying standards from NESC to NEC for projects across the U.S.

This remote role prioritizes Texas residency but welcomes candidates nationwide; you will mentor staff, manage client relationships, develop proposals, and advance grid modernization with AI and digital design tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with 12+ years of HV transmission design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in at least one U.S. state or equivalent.
• Experience with PL S-CADD, POLE, TOWER, SAG10, LPILE or FAD, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers on high voltage transmission line projects.
• Prepare bidding documents, plans, specifications, and material procurement details.
• Manage client relations, proposals, scopes, and overall project delivery.
• Apply NESC, ASCE, ACI, NEC and other standards to design and maintenance work.
• Support grid modernization using AI, automation, and digital design tools.
