Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Manager of Transmission Line Engineer to lead a team on high voltage transmission projects (34.5 kV to 765 kV). The role includes client relations, proposals, and project management, with emphasis on meeting performance metrics and standards.

The position offers remote work with preference for Texas-based candidates, and flexible hours. Strong leadership and mentorship skills, plus experience with PLS-CADD and related tools, are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in at least one U.S. state required.
• Experience with PLS-CADD, POLE, TOWER, SAG10, LPILE or FAD and Microsoft Office is required.
• Must be able to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high‑voltage transmission line design team and manage direct reports.
• Prepare bidding documents, plans and specifications, and project material procurement.
• Develop scope, proposals and manage client relations and project delivery.
• Apply applicable standards (NESC, ASCE, NEC, etc.) and manage risk and performance metrics.
