Job summary

Leidos seeks a Manager of Transmission Line Engineer to lead a dynamic team in high voltage transmission line design for overhead and underground systems, applying standards and leading projects from 34.5 kV to 765 kV.

The role involves engineering analyses, bidding, plans and specifications, material procurement, and construction documentation, while coordinating with planning, environmental, and construction management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering; 12+ years in high-voltage transmission design.
• Professional Engineering Registration in at least one U.S. state.
• Experience with PLS-CADD, POLE, TOWER, SAG10, LPILE or FAD and MS Office.
• Ability to lead a team and work with clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage high voltage transmission line design projects for overhead and underground systems.
• Perform engineering analyses, prepare bidding documents, plans, specs, and procurement/construction documents.
• Manage client relations, proposals, scope creation, and project management.
• Collaborate with planning, environmental, permitting, and construction teams.
• Develop engineering staff with direct report responsibilities and growth opportunities.
