Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Manager of Transmission Line Engineering to lead a dynamic team in designing high voltage transmission lines for major utilities. The role involves supervisory duties, standards-based engineering, and development of bid-ready documents.

The ideal candidate will have 12+ years in HV transmission design, PE registration, and proficiency with PLS-CADD, POLE, TOWER, SAG10, LPILE or FAD, plus MS Office. Remote work is possible with preference for Texas residents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering required with 12+ years of relevant experience in high voltage transmission design.
• Professional Engineering Registration in at least one U.S. state or equivalent.
• Experience with PLS-CADD, POLE, TOWER, SAG10, LPILE or FAD and Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and independently when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of transmission line engineers and act as Engineering Lead on HV transmission projects.
• Perform engineering analyses, develop bidding documents, plans, specs, procurement and construction documents.
• Manage client relations, proposals, scope creation and project management.
• Collaborate with planning, environmental, permitting and construction management teams.
