Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a High Voltage Preconstruction Project Manager to lead all preconstruction activities for HV electrical infrastructure projects.

This fully remote role covers substations, transmission lines, and BESS, coordinating planning, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and risk analysis from concept through handoff. Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in HV construction or PM, experience with large ($10M+) projects, and fluency with HV standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or engineering preferred.
• 7+ years in electrical construction or project management.
• 3+ years leading preconstruction activities.
• Experience with substations, transmission lines, solar, BESS, or industrial power projects.
• Experience managing projects over $10M.
• Familiarity with HV substations, transmission, interconnection, NEC/industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction for high-voltage projects 12kV–500kV+.
• Oversee planning, budgeting, scheduling, constructability reviews.
• Develop project execution strategies aligned with client goals.
• Coordinate preconstruction deliverables from inception to turnover.
• Prepare conceptual and detailed cost estimates.
• Analyze designs, specs, and bid documents.
• Maintain estimating databases and market pricing.
• Serve as primary contact with clients, utilities, and stakeholders.
• Lead risk assessment and value-engineering initiatives.
• Develop schedules with engineering, operations, and procurement.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor/subcontractor proposals.
