Job summary

Reserv is hiring a Team Lead for General Liability Claims. You will lead claims handling across a diverse GL book, coaching both General and Severity/Litigation Teams, and drive disposition-focused decisions on aged files.

You will oversee strategy, reserve adequacy, and settlements for high-exposure files, using analytics to identify genuine issues and gaps while coordinating with defense counsel. This remote-friendly role emphasizes leadership and results.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of insurance claims experience in high-exposure commercial general liability across varied industries.
• Active adjuster license required: resident state license if available, otherwise DHS license.
• 2+ years of leadership experience, with preference for remote environment.
• Demonstrated litigation management experience, including defense counsel oversight and settlement negotiation.
• Comfortable using technology and analytics to run an aged-inventory disposition process.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach adjusters across General and Severity/Litigation Teams.
• Own the weekly aged-inventory disposition review — track claims open past 120, 180, and 365 days to a defined decision.
• Review litigation strategy, defense counsel coordination, and reserve adequacy on Severity/Litigation Team files.
• Manage account-based routing exceptions outside standard litigation-status routing.
• Align adjuster caseload targets to verified inventory, adjusting with staffing or volume changes.
• Serve as escalation SME for coverage questions and complex claim strategy.
• Prepare and present claims reports, aged-inventory metrics, and loss trends to clients and leadership.
• Increase reserve and settlement authority, with direct involvement in high-exposure file reviews.
