Job summary

Velora is seeking a Bookkeeper in a remote North American team to handle full-charge bookkeeping for multiple nonprofit clients. You will work with Aplos and AI tools to boost accuracy, efficiency, and client satisfaction, while maintaining strong financial controls and proactive communication.

We value autonomy, diligence, and collaboration. This is a remote role supporting US and Canadian customers with a focus on nonprofit accounting and transparency.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years owning full-charge bookkeeping end-to-end with minimal oversight.
• Strong fundamentals in accounting and nonprofit bookkeeping; keeps books clean and decision-ready.
• Deep experience in Aplos (preferred) or similar systems.
• Strong Excel skills; uses templates, automation, and AI support to move faster.

Responsibilities

• Manage full cycle of bookkeeping for multiple Medium customers concurrently.
• Use AI-native tools to streamline workflows and deliver accurate results.
• Maintain an average of 70% of your working time spent on billable client work.
• Provide feedback to enhance information clarity and customer experience.
• Maintain high customer net promoter score (9 or 10) through proactive communication.
