Job summary

Velora is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our Professional Services team, serving as a full-charge bookkeeper for moderate complex Medium customers. You will ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting, and exceptional service while leveraging AI to speed work and improve accuracy.

You’ll own end-to-end bookkeeping, collaborate with clients, and help maintain strong controls. Remote-friendly, with a focus on reliability, integrity, and continuous improvement in nonprofit

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years owning full-charge bookkeeping end-to-end with minimal oversight.
• Degree in accounting, finance, or business.
• Strong fundamentals in nonprofit bookkeeping; keeps books clean, compliant and decision-ready.
• Deep experience in Aplos (preferred) or similar systems.
• Strong Excel skills with templates, automation, and AI support.

Responsibilities

• Manage full cycle of bookkeeping services for multiple Medium customers concurrently.
• Use AI-native tools to streamline workflows and deliver faster, more accurate results.
• Maintain an average of 70% of working time spent on billable client work.
• Understand organizational needs and provide feedback, proposing solutions to enhance information clarity.
• Maintain a high customer net promoter score (9 or 10) by building positive relationships and proactive communication.
• Adhere to established processes to ensure robust financial controls.
• Identify areas for process improvement and share knowledge with teammates.
