Virtual Treasurer Jobs

We help young women in both Nepal and Colorado.

• In Nepal, our INpowerment Center & Dormitory in Ghyangphedi houses 40 full‑time residents, age 10‑17, and is located in the #1 child trafficking district of the country. We provide them equal access to education, as well as self‑development and real‑life business skills.
• In Colorado, our retreats and school programs help teen women find their internal wisdom, and source their power from within.

Compass Rose International uplifts young women vulnerable to child trafficking and mental health challenges, providing tools for resilience, confidence, safety, and independence. We operate in Nepal and Colorado.

The Finance Chairperson & Treasurer is a vital member of the Board of Directors, responsible for overseeing the financial health and accountability of Compass Rose International. This role ensures transparent financial practices, supports strategic decision‑making, and works closely with the Executive Director and external accountants to uphold the organization’s fiduciary responsibility.

• Review monthly financial statements, annual budgets, and financial reports.
• Ensure proper financial controls, compliance, and record‑keeping practices are in place.
• Advise on investment strategies and long‑term financial planning.

• Present financial updates at quarterly board meetings.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the Board, staff, and financial service providers.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director on grant budgets and funding strategies.

• Lead the Finance Committee (if applicable) and support the development of fiscal policies.
• Contribute to board‑level discussions on growth, sustainability, and program impact.
• Assist with annual audits or financial reviews and ensure nonprofit compliance standards.

• Participate in donor stewardship as needed, helping build trust through financial transparency.
• Provide input on financial implications of fundraising and major gifts.

• Professional experience in finance, accounting, or nonprofit financial management.
• CPA or MBA preferred but not required.
• Prior board experience or understanding of nonprofit governance is a plus.
• Passion for global impact, social change, and empowering young women.
• Strong communication skills and ability to simplify complex financial topics for a diverse board.

• Attend quarterly board meetings (virtual or in‑person).
• Provide 3‑8 hours/month of additional volunteer time as needed.
• Serve a minimum one‑year term, with the option to renew annually.

Your expertise will directly support innovative programs that prevent trafficking, promote mental wellness, and uplift girls and women from mountain to mountain—from Colorado to Nepal.
