Velora is seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to join our fast-growing Professional Services team. You will serve as a full-charge bookkeeper for moderate complex Medium customers, ensuring accurate financial records and excellent customer experience.

You will work with AI-native tools to speed up reconciliation and data entry, maintain strong controls, and drive improvements while operating in a remote-first environment across North America.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years owning full-charge bookkeeping end-to-end with minimal oversight.
• A degree in accounting, finance, or business.
• Strong fundamentals in accounting and nonprofit bookkeeping; keeps books clean and compliant.
• Deep experience in Aplos (preferred) or similar systems; learns new workflows fast.
• Strong Excel skills; uses templates, automation, and AI support to move faster.

Responsibilities

• Manage full cycle of bookkeeping services for multiple Medium customers concurrently.
• Use AI-native tools to streamline workflows and deliver faster, more accurate results.
• Maintain ~70% of time spent on billable client work.
• Understand organizational needs and provide feedback to improve information clarity.
• Maintain a high customer net promoter score through proactive updates and clear communication.
• Adhere to established processes to ensure robust financial controls.
• Identify areas for process improvement and share knowledge with teammates.
