Job summary

Velora, a remote-first company formed by Aplos, Raisely and Keela, seeks a full-charge Bookkeeper to serve our Medium customers. You will own end-to-end bookkeeping, ensure accuracy, and deliver exceptional service leveraging AI-native tools to move faster.

You will maintain clean books, help with reconciliations, payroll, donations, and ongoing improvements while working with a distributed team across North America. This role offers remote work with flexible collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years owning full-charge bookkeeping end-to-end with minimal oversight.
• A degree in accounting, finance, or business.
• Strong fundamentals in accounting; nonprofit bookkeeping experience preferred.
• Deep experience in Aplos (preferred) or similar systems; uses tooling to work smarter.
• Advanced Excel skills; uses templates, automation, and AI support for speed and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage full cycle of bookkeeping for multiple Medium customers concurrently.
• Use AI-native tools to streamline workflows and deliver faster, more accurate results.
• Maintain ~70% of working time on billable client work.
• Understand organizational needs and provide feedback to enhance information clarity.
• Maintain a high customer net promoter score through proactive communication and service.
• Adhere to processes to ensure robust financial controls.
• Identify areas for process improvement and share knowledge with teammates.
