Job summary

The Landline Company is seeking a Fleet Manager to oversee maintenance and fleet operations for a growing multimodal network across North America. You will lead a team of 2–4 direct reports, manage OEM maintenance intervals, and coordinate maintenance activities with vendors and the SOC dispatch team.

The role emphasizes strong data skills, fleet-management experience, and the ability to work remotely with multiple locations; some travel to US/Canada stations may be required.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in transportation operations, logistics, fleet operations, or related field.
• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Strong data and analytical skills; Excel required; SQL, Python, or BI tools like Tableau/Power BI a plus.
• Familiarity with Fleetio, Samsara, or similar fleet-management/telematics platforms is a strong plus.
• Comfort working remotely across multiple locations and time zones.

Responsibilities

• Own the maintenance function with plan, vendors, and data for a growing fleet.
• Build and maintain rolling maintenance forecasts aligned to OEM intervals.
• Maintain maintenance budget with Finance and report variances.
• Coordinate unscheduled and corrective maintenance to minimize service disruption.
• Review partner invoices and track technician usage against budget.
• Plan quarterly reviews with maintenance vendors and provide real-time fleet readiness updates.
