Job summary

Affirm, Inc. is seeking a leader to grow a Sales Engineering team, guiding technical discovery, integration discussions, and solution demonstrations for merchant customers. The role involves hands-on deal support, API expertise, and cross-functional collaboration to win new business.

You will mentor engineers, drive performance, and maintain deep knowledge of Affirm products and APIs, while fostering an inclusive team culture. Remote-first with domestic flexibility.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in business or technology required.
• 4–6+ years in Sales Engineering or similar role.
• 3–4 years of people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Sales Engineers with clear expectations.
• Support live technical discovery and solution presentations in deals.
• Partner with merchant leaders and guide integration discussions.
• Develop knowledge of Affirm products, APIs, and integration options.
• Coach teams on API-based integrations and sandbox testing.
• Use AI tools in technical work and teach teams to apply them.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Revenue to win business.
• Translate merchant needs into actionable product feedback.
• Foster a respectful, growth-focused team environment.
