Job summary

Affirm, Inc. is hiring a Manager of Sales Engineering to lead a team of Sales Engineers across merchant integrations and technical sales calls.

You will guide integration decisions, develop programs for scalable engineering support, and collaborate with Revenue, Engineering, and Product to win new business. You will build a deep working knowledge of Affirm products and APIs, mentor engineers, and ensure high-quality prototypes and live demonstrations for merchant conversations.

Qualifications

• Experience in Sales Engineering or solutions engineering with a customer-facing focus.
• Proven ability to lead and grow technical teams.
• Hands-on experience with API-based integrations and at least one programming language.
• Strong communication skills with developers, business stakeholders and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Sales Engineers with clear expectations.
• Participate in deals, guiding technical discovery and integration discussions.
• Collaborate with merchant leaders to drive opportunities and leadership involvement.
• Develop deep knowledge of Affirm products, APIs, and integration options.
• Oversee sandbox testing and coach the team to build practical integrations.
• Apply AI tools in technical work and coach peers on prototypes and testing.
• Turn merchant requirements into actionable product feedback and improvements.
• Foster an inclusive environment with feedback and growth opportunities.
