Job summary

Affirm, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Sales Engineering to lead a team of engineers, drive deals, and guide integrations for enterprise partners. You’ll combine leadership, technical depth, and clear communication to align merchant needs with Affirm’s APIs.

You’ll mentor a team, participate in live technical discussions, and shape how we test and validate integrations in sandbox environments. Remote-first with in-person onboarding, the role offers strong growth and impactful work with merchant

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years in Sales Engineering or similar, plus 3–4 years in people management.
• Experience developing technical talent and driving team performance.
• Hands-on in technical customer conversations and deal support.
• Experience building, testing, troubleshooting API-based integrations; proficient in at least one programming language.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into integration recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Sales Engineers.
• Participate in deals, support live technical discovery and integration discussions.
• Partner with merchant leaders on opportunities requiring leadership.
• Maintain deep knowledge of Affirm's products, APIs, and integrations.
• Build, test, and troubleshoot integrations in sandbox environments; coach the team.
• Use AI development tools in your own work and guide the team to apply them.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Revenue to design merchant solutions.
• Turn merchant requirements into actionable product feedback.
• Create a respectful environment with feedback and growth opportunities.
